Pack your bags!  AYE Roadshow reaches its final destination in Edinburgh

On Saturday 21 November, the AYE team arrived in Edinburgh on the final leg of the UK roadshow.  First stop was the local ASDA supermarket, where they joined around 20 young people and parishioners from St Joseph's parish, Broomhouse, to help with bag-packing.  Shoppers donated loose change in return for help at the checkout, with the proceeds split between AYE funds and Children in Need.  All the hard work paid off and an amazing £1,491 was raised, with £745.50 helping to pay for the young people to come to AYE.
Later that evening, volunteers tucked into a tasty Italian meal cooked by Gisella from Hammersmith, who had travelled up to Edinburgh especially for the weekend.  Claire Webster was back on home turf at the parish Masses in the morning, and there was a warm response to AYE with promises of help with the preparations.  With the roadshow ending in the northernmost parish of the Province, the tour may be over but the preparations have just begun!
